Ambassadors
Where the Friends meet and greet the Public
The Ambassadors are a relatively new group formed to meet a need to have a presence for the public in our Botanical Gardens over the weekends. The Ambassadors work in pairs and are based in the Conservatory. Our main tasks are to chat with visitors, make them feel welcome in an informal manner, answer any queries and provide them with information about the Conservatory display, the Gardens in general and the activities of the Friends. This helps to enrich the visitor’s experience, and our presence is greatly appreciated. These contacts with the visiting public also have the side benefit of increasing the profile of the Friends and often lead to new memberships.
